I just have to make a quick mention about the new Suns news. I can't believe that they traded Marion, who is amazing, for Shaq, who is old, injured, and hasn't played in forever. What on earth were they thinking? What a complete waste of money and talent. I don't know how far the suns will be able to go. I feel bad for the rest of the team and for the die hard fans who have to sit back and watch the stupid moves by people who should know better.

Ben and I have mixed feelings about it. The Suns will never be the same, thats for sure. Marion did ask to be traded though. I think he wasn't as appreciated as he should have been, maybe he would have stayed. He has been ont he team the longest than anyone, thats including coaches. We'll see how it pans out, Shaq is getting old, I don't know if it was a good move. Hey keep us updated on the house, its fun to watch the transformations.

This is my first comment ever to a blog, but I thought this was a worthy topic. Being as it is one of my favorite topics I will chime in.

There is certainly a part of me that is forlorn on this day that we have lost a player who has withstood the roller-coaster ride this team has put him through, and been a professional without. His athleticism, his defense, and even his funny looking shot will be remembered of fondly. That said, Marion has never been able to grasp the business side of the game, always thinking that he was underappreciated despite making 40% more money than our 2 time MVP and future Hall-of-Famer Steve Nash. That is how much the Suns appreciated him. He has problems with his game. We loved him for what he was, and not for he wanted to be, the team and he just never saw eye to eye on how good they thought he might be. Marion has wanted to go to a place where he can have plays called for him. Miami will be a good fit for Marion, who loves the nightlife and the South Beach scene. He will be paired with an amazing young Superstar guard in Dwayne Wade, and will most assuredly be carrying a significant load of the scoring and should be able to get better statistics in the easier Eastern Conference. The Suns did him a favor by finding a place that met with his satisfaction, and probably got his okay before they traded him, which is what he asked for before the season. He would have needed to let Miami know that he would not leave his contract after this season, which he can do, but Miami may want him for the long run to help take the pressure off of Wade. I have done some thinking about this, and my sum total is...I don't know. So much depends on Shaq's dedication to winning in Phoenix. He has come in at a good weight. We'll now just have to see how he plays.

Thanks you for your years of service Shawn Marion.

Go SUNS!

It's the Arizona way, look how well it worked for the Cardinal's and Emmit Smith. I heard that the Coyote's are thinking about having Bobby Orr try on the skates .... (oh wait he's dead)... Wayne Gretzky he can probably look good for a quarter or two. The Suns have always need a big man in the middle now they have to decide which end of the court he's going to play.
